2023 has arrived which means we will get to see new technologies including new smartphones. Just to give you a teaser, the Redmi Note 12 Series from Xiaomi will arrive first in India which features up to 120W charging, a 200MP camera sensor, and more. This is just a start and there’s more to come this year. Smartphone brands have already announced their lineup for January in India and we are excited about that list. It includes India’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone, iQOO 11, then the Realme 10, POCO C50, OnePlus 11, and more. We have compiled the list of all phones that are set to launch in January 2023. Redmi Note 12 Series Details

Just like each year, Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note number series in India soon. The Redmi Note 12 is confirmed to launch in India on January 5. The series consists of three smartphones – the Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and the Note 12 Pro+ 5G.

The vanilla Redmi Note 12 5G features a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset under the hood. It sports a 6.67-inch Flat AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1200 nits of peak brightness. The phone has a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It is likely to have a 48MP primary sensor along with a 2MP secondary sensor on the back.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and 12 Pro+ 5G feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC under the hood, a 5,000mAh battery, MIUI 13 out of the box, a 16MP front camera, and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The most significant differences lie in the camera and charging departments. The Pro version supports 67W charging, whereas the Pro+ variant supports a superfast 120W charging speed.

The Note 12 Pro+ 5G features a 200MP Samsung HPX sensor with an f/1.65 aperture. The primary camera comes with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). The device also features an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the other hand, the Pro version has a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera on the back with OIS support. The camera setup also features an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera.

The base Redmi Note 12 5G is expected to launch at a price of Rs 14,999 in India, whereas the Pro version may be priced at around Rs 19,999. The topmost Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G may be priced between Rs 24,999 to Rs 26,999.

iQOO 11

The iQOO 11 is India’s first phone with a Snapdragon Gen 2 chipset under the hood. It also features a custom Vivo V2 ISP, which improves video recording performance in lowlight or shooting portrait shots. It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate support. It packs a 5000mAh battery unit that supports 120W fast charging out of the box. The phone is expected to boot Android 13 based FunTouch OS 13.

The iQOO 11 features a triple-camera setup on the back. There is a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 13MP tele-portrait camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 16MP front shooter.

Launch Date

iQOO has announced that the iQOO 11 will launch on January 10 in India.

Expected Price in India

The iQOO 11 will be a flagship smartphone and is expected to be priced between Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000 in India.

Realme 10

Realme 10 4G

Realme recently launched the Realme 10 Pro Series in India. It is now bringing a 4G phone in the series called the Realme 10. The company has already launched it in Indonesia. It comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The device is backed by a MediaTek Helio G99 budget chipset which can be coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The front has a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls. It packs a large 5,000mAh battery unit and supports 33W fast charging.

Expected Launch Date

Realme, till now, has just teased the launch of the Realme 10 and has not announced any launch date. But, we can speculate that the device will launch in the first or second week of January.

Expected Price in India

The Realme 10 could be priced under Rs 15,000 in India.

Poco C50

The first phone from Poco in 2023 is a budget offering called the Poco C50. The company hasn’t revealed any major details about it however, a report has called it as a rebadged version of Redmi A1+. Another tipster has revealed that it will launch as a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C which was recently launched in China. It is hard to say which report is correct. The Flipkart teaser, on the other hand, confirms that the C50 will launch with a dual-camera setup on the back.

As per a report, the Poco C50 will launch on January 3 in India.

Expected Price in India

While Poco has not revealed any details about the C50, we expect it to be a budget device. It may be priced under Rs 8,000 in India.

Galaxy F04

Samsung Galaxy F04

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S23 series in February in India. However, it will start its year by launching a budget phone called the Galaxy F04. The phone’s teaser is live on Flipkart and confirms the major specifications of the device. It is confirmed to sport a 6.51-inch display with an HD+ resolution. It will be powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC which is likely to be coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It will also feature Virtual RAM support. The phone will pack a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 10W charging support via a USB Type-C port. The phone will boot Android 12 based OneUI 4.0 out of the box and will receive two OS upgrades. The optic details of the device will be revealed at the time of the launch.

The Samsung Galaxy F04 will launch on January 4 in India via Flipkart.

Expected Price in India

The Flipkart listing for the Samsung Galaxy F04 confirms that the device will be priced between Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 in India. Another report has tipped its starting price to Rs 7,499 for the base model in India.

Tecno Phantom X2

Tecno launched its first-ever premium flagship device, Phantom X2 (first impressions) last month in Dubai. Now, the phone is officially confirmed to launch in India in January 2023. The phone gained a lot of attention due to its unique design. It sports a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor and 8GB of RAM. The device comes pre-loaded with HiOS 12, based on Android 12. The Tecno Phantom X2 sports a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It is backed by a 5160mAh battery unit and 45W fast charging support. It flaunts a triple-rear camera setup that includes a 64MP primary shooter with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is equipped with a 32MP front shooter and a dual-LED flash setup.

Launch Date

The Tecno Phantom X2 does not have an exact launch date for India, but the Amazon listing mentions that the phone is up for pre-orders already and will go on sale from January 9.

The Tecno Phantom X2 comes in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage priced at Rs 39,999 in India.

OnePlus 11 (China, India in Feb)

OnePlus 11 5G

OnePlus will start the year with its annual number series flagship device. The OnePlus 11 will be first launched in China followed by a global launch in February. The device will have a circular camera module on the back. It will mark the return of Alert Slider, popular among OnePlus flagship devices. It flaunts a curved display with a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner for a 16MP front camera. It is a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED display panel that supports 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that will be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will boot the latest Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 out of the box. The device will pack a 5,000mAh battery unit under the hood and will support 100W charging. In terms of optics, the phone will have a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.

Launch Date

The OnePlus 11 is confirmed to launch on January 4 in China and will later launch in India on February 7.

Expected Price in India

As per a leaked report, the OnePlus 11 will be priced between Rs 55,000 and Rs 65,000 in India.

Realme GT Neo 5 (China)

The Realme GT Neo 3 made highlights due to its 150W charging support. Now, the company could be launching its successor, the Realme GT Neo 5 in January in China. A leaked poster has revealed the design and major specifications of the device. The main highlight of the device will be its superfast 240W charging speed which no one has announced commercially yet. It will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. The device will feature a Sony IMX890 primary camera which the OnePlus 11 will use as well. It is said to sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2772×1240 pixels. It could offer support for a 144Hz refresh rate as well. The rest of the device specifications are unknown at the moment.

The Realme GT Neo 5 is likely to debut in China on January 5.

Expected Price in India

There are no details on the Realme GT Neo 5 pricing but looking at its predecessor, we can expect the phone to be priced between Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000 in India.
