Jio True 5G Launched in 10 More Cities Bringing Total to 236 Cities in India

Reliance Jio is expanding its 5G services in new cities in India day by day. Recently, the telco has announced the launch of its 5G services in 10 more cities across 8 states in the country. The company has expanded its 5G services in some cities across Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. With this recent 5G launch in new states, the telecom giant now has its 5G service available in 236 cities across the country. Below is the list of cities where the company will start its 5G services from today:

List of 10 Cities Where Jio Will Start Offering Its 5G Services From Today

1) Hindupur, Madanapalle, Proddatur, Andhra Pradesh
2) Raigarh, Chhattisgarh
3) Talcher, Odisha
4) Patiala, Punjab
5) Alwar, Rajasthan
6) Mancherial, Telangana
7) Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh
8) Roorkee, Uttarakhand

Starting today, users in the above-mentioned cities will be invited to the Jio Welcome offer. As a part of the Welcome offer, users will be able to experience unlimited data speed at up to 1Gbps+ at no additional costs. However, do note that in order to experience 5G on your compatible 5G handset, you need to be subscribed to a recharge of 239 Plan or above.

In a piece of related news, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani at Uttar Pradesh Global Investors’ Summit said that Jio will complete the rollout of to cover every town and village of Uttar Pradesh in December 2023. He also added that Jio’s Platforms (JPL) will help modernize all areas of business and industry, from agriculture to the social sector and governance.

Last week, the telecom giant made its 5G services available in 34 cities across 13 states. The company had made the 5G services available in cities such as Bhimavaram, Guntakal, Tenali, Nalco, Ajmer, and Mahabubnagar. Prior to that, the company had announced the launch of its 5G services in 50 cities last month. The company had rolled out its 5G service in Narasaraopet, Rajnandgaon, Kolhapur, Sangli, Bilaspur, Panaji, Ambala, Nagaon, Korba, Hassan, and Mandya. Additionally, at the start of this year, Jio also made its 5G services available in Dehradun, Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ludhiana, and Siliguri.

Meanwhile, Jio’s competitor Airtel is also expanding its 5G services in new cities day by day. The company today introduced its 5G services in 5 more cities in Haryana. Last month, the telco expanded its 5G services in cities such as Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad. Yesterday, Airtel also made available its 5G service in Dharamshala, Mandi, and Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, the telco also expanded its 5G network in three more cities of Gujarat- Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot.
