Jio is planning to introduce a new JioCinema subscription plan for which it has dropped a teaser. The new ad-free plan is expected to be introduced on April 25. This new plan will join the existing Rs 999 yearly and the Rs 99 monthly plans. Here are the details.
New JioCinema Ad-Free Plan Coming Soon
The news comes from a recent X post from the JioCinema handle. While the post does not explicitly mention a new ad-free plan, the attached video mainly discusses the issue of ad interruptions, even for subscribers to the premium plan. Hence, we expect a plan to resolve the issue.

However, Jio hasn’t revealed any more details about the plan. There are chances that it may be priced a little lower than the existing JioCinema plan. The plan could also support 4K streaming and the ability to download content.
For those who don’t know, the premium JioCinema plan is priced at Rs. 999 a year and includes content from HBO, like Game of Thrones, Euphoria, and The White Lotus, among others. It supports up to 4 devices. Alternatively, a basic plan is available at Rs. 99 per month. This also supports up to 4 devices and high video and audio quality.
JioCinema can also be streamed for free but there will be unskippable ads. Plus, some titles like Dance Deewane, Indian Angels, MTV Splitsvilla and more will be available as part of the Premium plan. That said, IPL 2024 is currently streaming for free, which is pretty great. The announcement is expected a few days from now and hence, it would be best to wait for official details.
