Samsung is gearing up to launch a new budget smartphone. The company could unveil the Galaxy Wide5 as its new budget 5G smartphone. The device is likely to launch in select international markets. Samsung has not yet announced the official launch details of its upcoming 5G smartphone. Ahead of the launch, the phone is listed on the Google Play Console. The listing reveals some key details of the device. It also reveals that the phone could be a rebranded version of the Galaxy A22 5G. It is expected to launch as Galaxy F42 5G in India. Samsung Galaxy Wide5 Google Play Console

Samsung could launch the Galaxy Wide5 very soon. The phone is listed on the Google Play Console website ahead of the launch. The listing reveals some key performance unit details of the upcoming Samsung phone. It comes with a MediaTek MT6833V SoC, which is the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. The variant listed on the Google Play Console has 6GB of RAM. It runs Android 11 out of the box is expected to have a layer of One UI 3.1 on top of the Android mobile operating system.

The phone will have a 1080 x 2009 resolution and feature a Mali G57 GPU. An image attached on the website further shows that the phone has a water-drop notch and a slightly thick chin bezel. It also reveals that the phone could launch as a rebranded Galaxy F42 5G in India, which in turn is more or less a rebranded Galaxy A22 5G. Previously, the monikers of the devices were confirmed via a Bluetooth SIG listing. The Galaxy F22 5G was also listed as Galaxy Buddy and Galaxy Wide5.

In that case, the phone features a 6.6-inch TFT LCD display that has FHD+ 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It will have a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary main camera, 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone has an 8MP front camera. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
