Samsung sent out an invite on November 9 for an Exynos-related event. The company put up a post on its official Samsung Exynos account, confirming an event for November 19. The teaser posters revealed the unveiling of the “future of entertainment” on November 19. It also includes an image that hints at the product revolving around gaming graphics. Samsung has confirmed its partnership with AMD for developing the GPU for its upcoming Exynos flagship. It was rumoured that the company will finally unveil the new Exynos 2200 chip on November 19. However, Samsung Exynos has now tweeted that there is no Exynos-related event planned for November 19.

“Despite the rumours, we don’t have any Exynos-related events planned on 11/19, but we do have some changes coming to our social accounts,” the Samsung Exynos account tweeted. The company did not reveal any further details but hinted at an announcement expected from the company’s semiconductor division.

If not the Samsung Exynos 2200, then what?

Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2200 is expected to power the Galaxy S22 series, which is rumoured to launch in February 2022. The upcoming Samsung flagship processor will run on an AMD GPU with support for features like ray tracing, variable-rate shading, etc. The Exynos 2200 is said to be based on a 4nm process featuring an ARM Cortex-X2 core and three performance cores alongside four efficiency cores.

If not the Exynos 2200, the company could unveil the successor of the Exynos 1080. The upcoming chipset could be called Exynos 1280, which is likely to be reserved for entry-level devices. The caption attached with the post on Instagram further suggested that the chip will be focused on offering better gaming performance.

Unfortunately, there is very little known about the upcoming Samsung event and even the rumoured Exynos chipset. Therefore, we can only suggest waiting for the date to see what the South Korean giant has in store for consumers. Expect the rumour mill to work in full force to leak some details ahead of the launch.
