Vivo X Fold 3 Series Expected Specifications

Digital Chat Station claims in a new post that the upcoming X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro foldable smartphones will sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets respectively. Qualcomm has used TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 chipsets.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset features one Cortex X3 at 3.2GHz, two Cortex A715 cores at 2.8GHz, three Cortex A510 cores at 2.0GHz and an Adreno 740 GPU. In comparison, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 3 SoC sports one Cortex X4 core at 3.3GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3.15GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.96GHz, two Cortex-A520 cores at 2.26GHz, and an Adreno 750 GPU.

This contradicts earlier reports, which claimed that Vivo will equip the X Fold 3 foldable smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Of course, till Vivo announces the phones, the speculation around the specifications will continue.

The forthcoming X Fold 3 Pro is rumoured to debut with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Vivo will launch the X Fold 3 and the Pro smartphones with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Vivo will likely equip the Pro model with an inner screen with 2K resolution, going by previous leaks.

The foldable AMOLED display will sport LTPO technology with a 120Hz refresh rate. The forthcoming smartphones are also rumoured to debut with ultrasonic fingerprint scanners. The phones will likely come with a 50MP primary camera with OIS.

The tipster has also stated that the Vivo will equip the forthcoming Vivo Pad 3 with a larger display. Vivo is tipped to debut the upcoming tablet in OLED and LCD variants. The upcoming tablet will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. Vivo will debut the Vivo X Fold 3 series foldable smartphones and Vivo Pad 3 tablet alongside the Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone.
