Vivo X Fold+ Gets Listed on Wireless Power Consortium Website: Renders Reveal, Display, Camera Setup

Vivo is gearing up for the launch of its next foldable smartphone. The company has confirmed the launch of the Vivo X Fold+ 5G in China on September 26. It will be the second foldable smartphone from the company this year. The X Fold+ 5G is set to get some incremental upgrades in the design, hinge, processor and charging departments.

Vivo has started teasing the key specs and features of its upcoming foldable phone. The complete set of specifications and features will be announced at the event on September 26. Meanwhile, the X Fold+ 5G has been spotted on the Wireless Power Consortium. Let’s take a look at the key details of the Vivo X Fold+ 5G revealed ahead of its launch.

Vivo X Fold+ 5G Wireless Power Consortium

The Vivo X Fold+ 5G will launch in China to take on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 foldable smartphones. According to the Wireless Power Consortium listing, the foldable phone has the model number V2229A.

It also includes an image, which reveals the phone’s cover display and the rear panel. The cover display has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. On the back, the phone has a rectangular camera island, which houses a circular camera module. There is a quad-camera setup and an LED flash on the island. The image also confirms the Zeiss collaboration for the X Fold + 5G.

Vivo has already confirmed the Red colour option of the foldable. There could be a black/ grey option launching alongside the blue colour variant.

The phone is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It will pack a 4730 mAh battery and support 80W fast charging as well. In addition to this, the phone will support 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.

There will be a new, durable hinge mechanism for the 120Hz foldable display. As per rumours, the X Fold+ 5G will have an 8.03-inch foldable display and a 6.53-inch cover display. The rear camera setup will include a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera, a 12MP portrait camera sensor and an 8MP periscope camera. For selfies, the phone is likely to feature a 32MP front camera.
