vivo is expected to introduce a new Y-series handset – the vivo Y100 (4G variant) in the coming weeks. The vivo Y100 (4G variant), with the model number V2342, has acquired NBTC certification in Thailand. The upcoming Y-series smartphone was earlier spotted on the Bluetooth SIG and the Geekbench benchmark database.
The vivo Y100 NBTC listing doesn’t reveal anything about the device except its moniker. However, appearance of handset on another certification website hints towards an imminent launch.
The upcoming Y-series smartphone was earlier spotted on Geekbench database which revealed that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor. The vivo Y100, as per Geekbench listing, will come pre-loaded with Android 14 and will feature 8GB of RAM.
The vivo Y100 (4G variant) has already acquired Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) certification, as per which it will also launch under vivo V30 Lite moniker in some markets.
vivo already had three different models under the vivo Y100 moniker in different markets. This would be the fourth device from the brand with the same moniker, but the first with 4G-only connectivity.
In related news, Vivo recently launched the Vivo Y200e 5G in the Indian market. The company also introduced the Vivo 30 and the Vivo V30 Pro in the country earlier this month.
