Vivo, back in October, launched the Vivo Y100 5G smartphone in the Chinese market. The company now appears to be gearing up to launch yet another smartphone with the same moniker – Vivo Y100 5G, as per a report by Appuals and Sudhanshu Ambhore. This will be Vivo’s third smartphone with the Vivo Y100 5G moniker.

The report reveals the design renders, colour options, and key specifications of the upcoming Vivo Y100 5G. As per the report, the upcoming Y-series handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. Let us take a closer look at the details.

Vivo Y100 5G: Expected Specifications

The Vivo Y100 5G leaked renders reveal that the handset will be made available in two colour options – Black and Purple. The purple colour variant of the device appears to have a faux leather finish. The device seems to have flat edge design.

Vivo Y100 5G is tipped to sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a Full HD+ resolution. This display panel will reportedly support up to 1200 nits peak brightness and will make room for selfie shooter inside a punch hole notch.

The upcoming Y-series handset is tipped to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It could sport up to 8GB of RAM and will also support 8GB virtual RAM feature. The company will reportedly offer the handset in two storage options – 128GB and 256GB.

Vivo Y100 5G is said to offer a triple-rear camera setup which might include a 50MP primary shooter, and 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP sensor. The selfies and video calls on the handset are said to be taken care of by an 8MP front shooter. It will likely sport a 5000mAh battery unit with up to 80W FlashCharge fast charging over a USB Type-C port. The handset is said to offer an in-display fingerprint scanner. It might also feature IP54 rating.

Vivo Y100 5G is said to offer a stereo speaker setup. The handset is tipped to weigh 185 grams and might be around 7.79mm in terms of thickness. The upcoming Vivo Y100 5G will be completely different compared to the Vivo Y100 Indian and Vivo Y100 Chinese variants.

Vivo introduced the Vivo Y100 5G, powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900, almost a year ago in the Indian market. The company recently launched the Vivo Y100 5G in China, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor and is entirely a difference device compared to the Indian variant.
