Western Digital, the US-based storage manufacturer, has debuted a new generation of storage devices in India. The launch includes new 1.5TB SanDisk Ultra microSD UHS-I cards, SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go USB Type-C, and SanDisk PRO-CINEMA CFexpress Type B card storage devices.
The new products launched by Western Digital under the SanDisk brand bring several improvements over the existing products in the industry. The new storage solutions offer faster speeds with large memory, according to a press release.
SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go USB Type-C: Pricing, Availability and Specifications
Western Digital has launched the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go USB Type-C in Black, Lavender, Absinthe Green, and Navagio Bay colour options. The flash drive is available in four colour options for USB drives with storage capacity ranging between 64GB and 256GB. The 1TB variant of the device will be solely available in the Black colour option.
The product will be available at a starting price of Rs 1,109 for the variant with 128GB storage. The product can be purchased through Amazon India, the Online store of Western Digital India, and other authorized SanDisk online and offline retailers. SanDisk offers a warranty of five years for the device.
The device is compatible with devices running iOS 10.2, macOS v.10.9, Windows 10 and above. The flash drive is compatible with most Android smartphones and tablets. SanDisk equips the device with a metal casing and reversible USB Type-C and traditional USB-A connector. Western Digital Claims that the device can achieve a transfer speed of up to 400MB/s.
SanDisk Ultra microSD UHS-I cards: Pricing, Availability and Specifications
Western Digital claims that the SanDisk Ultra microSD UHS-I cards with 1.5TB storage are the world’s fastest microSD UHS-I cards. The price is Rs 14,999 and will be available through the places mentioned above. SanDisk offers a limited warranty of 10 years on the microSD card. The card is compatible with microSDHC and microSDXC-supporting host devices.
The microSD card is also available in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants. The 1TB and 1.5TB microSD card has a read speed of 150MB/s. The microSD card also brings support for the SanDisk memory zone app, which helps to view, access, and backup your phone’s files in one location.
SanDisk PRO-CINEMA CFexpress Type B Card: Pricing, Availability, and Specifications
The PRO-CINEMA CFexpress Type B card is aimed at professional cinematographers. The Type B Card will be available in 320GB and 640GB storage variants in India. The price of the Type B card will start at Rs 44,999 for the 320GB variant.
The Type B card is compatible with selected RED, Nikon, Fujifilm, and Canon cameras. SanDisk reveals that the card has a read speed of 1700MB/s and a write speed of 1400MB/s. The Type B card can store video recordings up to 8K resolution and sports CFexpress technology.
