Xiaomi is set to unveil the Xiaomi 13 series smartphones globally at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 event. The brand unveiled the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone in December 2022 in China. The smartphones were initially tipped to launch globally. Later, the devices were certified in Thailand’s NBTC and Europe’s EEA.

Those certifications confirmed the global launch of the smartphone. Xiaomi 13 Pro had been listed in BIS, indicating that Xiaomi would only launch the Pro smartphone in India. Last week, Xiaomi confirmed that the 13 Pro would launch on February 26 in India. Ahead of the launch, Amazon.in has confirmed that the smartphone would be sold on their platform in India.

Xiaomi would make the smartphone available through Amazon.in from the launch date. The smartphone would also be available to purchase from Xiaomi’s e-store. Xiaomi hasn’t commented about the offline availability of the smartphone. The brand will likely price the smartphone aggressively to compete with competitors like iQOO 11 and OnePlus 11 5G.

Xiaomi is likely to launch the same smartphone which it launched in China. The smartphone would feature a 6.73-inch LTPO E6 AMOLED display with a Quad HD+ resolution. It supports 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1900 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Underneath, the Xiaomi 13 Pro sports the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The chipset would pair with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Xiaomi would ship the smartphone with MIUI 14 on top of Android 13 out of the box.

On the optics side, the Xiaomi 13 Pro features a triple-rear camera setup. The setup comprises a 50MP Sony IMX989 primary sensor with a 1-inch sensor size and OIS. A 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS support accompany the primary sensor. The display houses the punch hole in the center to accommodate the 32MP front camera.

A large 4820mAh battery with 120W fast charging support backs the smartphone. The smartphone also supports 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. Like other flagship smartphones, Xiaomi has skipped the 3.5mm headphone jack. Xiaomi hasn’t forgotten the support for the infrared sensor and IP68 rating.

Xiaomi will launch the smartphone with Ceramic Black, Ceramic White, Ceramic Green, and Mountain Blue color options. The smartphone was available in China in a limited edition in many other color options. These were Flame Red, Sapphire Blue, Cement Gray, Hurricane Yellow, and Jungle Green. There are slight chances for Xiaomi to launch the smartphone globally with limited edition color options.
