We already know that Xiaomi has debuted the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, and the Mi 8 Explorer Edition smartphones in China, back in May. Additionally, we were aware of the fact that the sequel to these handsets, i.e the Mi 8X, is on the way. The smartphone even received the required 3C certification in China a few weeks ago, that had revealed its model as: M1808D2TE, M1808D2TT and M1808D2TC. Today, the Mi 8X (M1808D2TE) has achieved the TENAA certification in China. Let’s see what the TENAA listing reveals.
Xiaomi Mi 8X: Rumoured Specifications
Judging by the details revealed by TENAA, we can see that the Mi 8X will sport a 6.26 inch IPS LCD panel. It will measure 156.4×75.8×7.5mm, and will run Android Oreo-based MIUI out of the box. A 3250mAh battery will fuel the device, that may have fast charging support. We will see the conventional connectivity options such as dual-SIM support, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. That’s all the information we can infer from the TENAA listing for now. Unfortunately, there are no images, and nor any detailed specs revealed by the certification authority.
The handset, it is expected to pack Snapdragon 710 SoC, similar to the Mi 8 SE. Furthermore, it is supposed to offer under-display fingerprint sensor as well as a 3D Face Recognition-based unlock feature. Apart from the Mi 8X, we also are aware that Xiaomi is working towards the launch of Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth, Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition.
A few days ago, we had reported the details of these devices regarding their colour options and storage. Our sources had revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth will be available in three memory configurations that include: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The smartphone is expected to make its debut in Space Gray, Gold, and Blue colour options. On the other hand, the Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition will come in two configurations – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. It will be available in Black and Gold colour options.
