Recently, a render of the upcoming Pad 5 series device surfaced on the web, courtesy of XiaomiPlanet. Going by the renders, Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 might get a camera layout similar to the recently launched Mi 11, and Mi 11 Pro. The renders also shows us a huge Xiaomi branding on the rear panel below the camera module.
The front of the Mi Pad 5 is reminiscent of the iPad Pros, going by the render. The tablet is said to boot MIUI for Pad OS, and it looks like a blatant copy of iPadOS. From dock to Today View, everything on the software front seems to be inspired by iPadOS.
Mi Pad 5 Rumoured Specifications
The Pad 5 is said to feature a 10.95-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. While we might see a 144Hz refresh-rate display on the Pro variant. The tablets are tipped to get a 2K resolution display with 2560×1600 pixel resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 240hz touch sampling rate, 4096-level touch, and In-Cell active pen technology.
The upcoming tablet will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 platform, and will boot MIUI for Pad OS. These are said to have support for handheld PC mode along with regular MIUI features.
For the cameras, the Pad 5 might offer a dual-camera setup including a 20MP primary sensor and a 13MP secondary lens. For the videos, it will also include a front shooter.
The Pad 5 will offer an 8,720mAh battery with a dual-cell configuration as also revealed in 3C certification. It will offer a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and will be made up use aluminium alloy.
