Xiaomi has been unveiling its premium foldable smartphones under the Mix Fold series over the past few years. More recently, in August 2023, the company launched the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. However, the series has been limited to China availability all these years. But, this year things could change as the company is expected to launch the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 later this year both in China as well as some global markets.
A recent report suggested that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 could be coming to the Global markets as the upcoming device with the “2405CPX3DG” model number was spotted on the IMEI website. Now, a Xiaomi device with the same model number has been spotted on the EEC website in Europe, which extends the proof of the foldable flagship phone from Xiaomi going global later this year.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 Listed on EEC
The next-gen foldable flagship phone, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 could launch soon globally as the device with “2405CPX3DG” has been listed on the EEC website in China. The same model number was previously spotted on the IMEI database and this device was tipped as Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. Going by the previous track record of the company and these listings, the letter “G” at the end of the device’s model number indicates this as a global unit as the China model usually ends with “C”.
The listing on the EEC website confirms the product’s manufacturer as Xiaomi Communications Co., Ltd with China address and Mi.com website as a reference. The site has also listed “KZ0000007410” as the notification number. Apart from this info, the website does not confirm many details. Phones which are launching in the EU region will usually pass through the EEC website and since the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 has been spotted on the site, we can expect Xiaomi to launch this later this year globally as well.
Further, on the same website, two new Redmi tablet devices have also been spotted along with a new Poco smartphone. The Redmi tablets have been listed with the “24074RPD2G” and “2405CRPFDG” model numbers and the Poco smartphone has been listed with the “24069PC21G” model number.
The model numbers of the tablets may indicate they belong to the successors of the Redmi Pad and Redmi Pad SE. This leads to the speculation that the upcoming devices could potentially be named Redmi Pad SE 2 or Redmi Pad 2. Apart from the model number of these devices, the site does not provide much info.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4: What We Know So Far
In terms of specifications, the latest leak from GSMChina suggests that the new Fold from Xiaomi will come with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is not a surprise. Further, this device is said to be codenamed “ruyi” and the device is said to be available both in China as well as Global regions. Since Xiaomi is now launching its premium phones in India, we can also expect the India launch of the Mix Fold 4, but there is no confirmation on the same yet.
