Xiaomi has officially launched its SU7 electric car in China. The company also showcased its car at MWC 2024 (check our Instagram Reel) and shared its vision to be among the top five automakers in the world over the next two decades. Xiaomi SU7 Electric Car: Price
Pricing for the Xiaomi SU7 EV starts at CNY 2,15,900 (approx INR 24.90 Lakh) in China. The top model is priced at CNY 2,99,990 (approx INR 34.5 lakhs). The company has also started distributing display cars at multiple showrooms across China. Xiaomi will start deliveries of the car by the end of this month.
Xiaomi SU7 Electric Car: Features
The Xiaomi SU7, which stands for Speed Ultra, is a five-seater coupe with a typical four-door design. The car has a wheelbase of 3,000mm and features 19-inch alloy wheels by default. The height of the car is 1455mm, and a width of 1963mm.
The highlight of the vehicle is its performance. The Xiaomi SU7 delivers power of 637hp with a maximum torque of 838Nm. The car is capable of completing 0-100kmph in just 2.78 seconds with maximum speeds of up to 265kmph. Xiaomi says that the SU7 can deliver a range between 700-900 km depending on the usage.
The Xiaomi SU7 EV is available in three models. The base model comes with a 73.6 kWh battery. The SU7 Pro features a larger 94.3 kWh battery, while the top model Xiaomi SU7 Max has a 101 kWh battery.
The Xiaomi SU7 car also gets HyperOS, which will enable seamless communication between the car and other Xiaomi devices. The car is a part of the company’s vision of the Human X Car X Home ecosystem. It also comes with a 25-speaker system backed by Dolby Atmos. There are several features like the smart cockpit with multiple screens, XiaoAI voice control, and more.
The specifications of the Xiaomi SU7 EV place it on par with Tesla and BYD, which are two of the biggest car players not just in China, but in the world. The base model of the Xiaomi SU7 is priced lower than the Tesla Model 3 in China, making it a lucrative option to consider.
China is currently the biggest market for electric vehicles in the world. Hence, Xiaomi is expected to focus on its home country in the initial few years of its new car venture. It is highly unlikely for the Xiaomi SU7 to launch in India.
