iQOO is working on upcoming iQOO 12 series smartphones.

iQOO is reportedly working on the iQOO 12 series smartphones. A previous report revealed that iQOO will launch iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro smartphones. iQOO recently launched iQOO Z8 series smartphones in China. The company also launched the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G and iQOO Neo 7 Pro smartphones in India. The latest addition to the flagship iQOO 11 series smartphones was the iQOO 11S smartphone.
However, iQOO didn’t launch the smartphone in the global market. Popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station previously shared the fast charging and other key specifications of the vanilla iQOO 12 smartphone. The tipster later shared the primary camera specifications of the upcoming device. A new post from the tipster reveals some more specifications of the device.
The specifications are allegedly believed to be related to the iQOO 12 Pro smartphone. The tipster confirms that the upcoming smartphone will sport a Samsung E7 AMOLED display. DCS doesn’t explicitly reveal the screen size of the upcoming device. The forthcoming smartphone is tipped to be equipped with a 2K AMOLED display. iQOO will also equip the display with a massive 144Hz refresh rate.
The tipster adds that iQOO will equip the device with a metal frame to improve the build quality. A recent report confirms that OnePlus 12, Realme GT 5 Pro, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro+ will feature metal frames. iQOO will equip the smartphone with a large battery, which will bring support for 200W fast charging tech.
iQOO is also tipped to equip the 12 Pro with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C 3.x port. The Chinese OEM will also equip the smartphone with quad rear cameras. The device will feature a 50MP OV50H primary sensor and a 64MP OV64B periscope lens. The details of the telephoto, ultra-wide-angle lens, and front camera are currently unknown.
The tipster doesn’t reveal any other upcoming 12 Pro smartphone specifications. The previous leak indicated that iQOO will equip the device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The chipset is expected to pair with a Cortex-X4 prime core, five Cortex-A720 cores, and two Cortex-A520 cores. Reports suggest that the chipset will pair with Adreno 750 GPU.
The smartphone is tipped to run on Origin OS based on Android 14 out of the box. The chipset will pair with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The smartphone will run Origin OS 4.0 based on Android 14 out of the box. Digital Chat Station confirmed that the vanilla iQOO 12 will feature 100W fast charging tech. The vanilla iQOO 12 smartphone is expected to feature a 5000mAh battery. Other specifications of the upcoming smartphones are unknown at the moment.
