Apple iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max Geekbench Scores Revealed: Runs A17 Pro Chipset, 8GB RAM

The A17 Pro is 10% faster than the A16 Bionic chipset.

Apple recently took a wrap of the iPhone 15 series devices such as the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus are powered by A16 Bionic chipset, while the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max come with A17 Pro chipset. The new chipset offers 10% faster performance compared to the A16 Bionic and it is being manufactured using a 3nm process. In a recent development, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max have appeared on Geekbench. The benchmark listing reveals the score of these devices.

iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max Geekbench Scores Revealed

As per the Geebench test result, the iPhone 15 Pro which has model number iPhone 16,1 comes with a 8GB of RAM. The benchmark listing also shows that the smartphone’s SoC consists six-core CPU which has a base frequency of 3.78GHz. In the test result, the device has managed to pull off 2908 and 7238 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. The scores are comparatively higher than the iPhone 14 Pro, which had managed to score 2642 and 6739 in the single-core and multi-core tests.

On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro Max which carries model number as iPhone 16,2 also ships with 8GB of RAM and has a six-core CPU. The device has scored 2846 and 7024 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. In comparison, the A16 Bionic chipset equipped with the iPhone 14 Pro Max had managed to pull 2546 and 6631 points in the single-core and multi-core tests.

As mentioned above the new A17 Pro chipset equipped with the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max is 10% faster than the A16 Bionic chipset. Additionally, the new six-core GPU in the A17 Pro is 20% faster than the five-core GPU in the A16 Bionic. Considering the improvement in CPU and GPU compared to the A16 Bionic, we do see a leap in the Geekbench scores for the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

As far as the specifications of the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max go, these devices feature a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, whereas the iPhone 15 Pro Max comes with a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. Both the handsets feature a 48MP triple-camera setup and a 12MP selfie camera. These devices come in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium, and Natural Titanium colours. The price of the iPhone 15 Pro in India starts at Rs 1,34,900, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max price starts at Rs 1,59,900.
