The Apple iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max were unveiled by Apple a few days back. The new iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus feature a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, A16 Bionic chipset, and a 48MP primary camera. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max come with an A17 Pro chipset and retain the same display size as their predecessor. Now, in a recent development, the battery capacity and wattage support of the iPhone 15 series is revealed courtesy of a Chinese regulatory database.

Apple iPhone 15 Series Battery Capacities Revealed

The Chinese regulatory listing reveals that the iPhone 15 has a 3,349mAh battery (rated capacity) and a wattage of 12.981Wh, while the iPhone 15 Pro has a 4,383mAh battery and a wattage of 16.950Wh. Here’s the battery capacity details of the iPhone 15 lineup:

On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max offers 23 hours and 29 hours respectively while playing videos. These figures do suggest that despite packing a slightly larger capacity battery, the iPhone 15 series offers the same video playback duration as that of the iPhone 14 series devices.

For charging the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, Apple still suggests to use a 20W charger. The smartphones can be charged to 50% in about 30 minutes. These devices also support MagSafe wireless charging up to 15W and Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max also charge at the same speed as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, and Apple recommends using the 20W charger to charge both of them.
