Dreame's latest showcase at its DREAME NEXT 2026 event marks a clear shift in how the company wants to be perceived. Known primarily for its robot vacuums and cordless cleaners, Dreame is now positioning itself as a broader smart home brand with a portfolio that extends into refrigerators, floor cleaners, and interconnected home appliances.
At the centre of this expansion is a new generation of cleaning devices. The X60 Pro Ultra Complete robot vacuum introduces Dreame's updated bionic robotic arm, designed to extend mops and brushes further into edges and corners. The company is also pushing suction performance higher, with claims of a 42kPa system powered by a high-speed motor.
Alongside it, the Aqua20 Pro Ultra builds on the idea that cleaning is no longer just about suction. It combines vacuuming with steam mopping, hot water washing, and higher pressure to tackle tougher stains, while its base station handles high-temperature self-cleaning. Products like the Aero Ultra Steam wet floor cleaner follow a similar direction, bringing together steam, hot water, and foam-based cleaning into a single device.
This layering of features reflects a broader shift in the category. Premium cleaning appliances are increasingly being defined not just by power, but by how much of the cleaning process they can automate and how little manual effort they require over time.
Moving Into Refrigerators and Connected Appliances
Beyond cleaning, Dreame is now stepping into larger appliance categories. The N1 refrigerator showcased at the event uses food recognition to identify ingredients and offer personalised dietary suggestions, positioning itself as a more interactive appliance rather than just a storage device.
While this appears to be an early-stage product, Dreame has already indicated more concrete plans with its Z-Fresh refrigerator series, which focuses on food preservation, flexible storage zones, and a flush-fit design. The company has begun introducing these products in select markets, signalling that this is not just a concept-led direction but part of a broader expansion into the kitchen.
This move brings Dreame into direct competition with established appliance brands that have traditionally dominated these categories, making execution and ecosystem integration critical to how this strategy plays out.

Recent launches such as the L40 Ultra AE and D20 Ultra reflect this direction. These products prioritise automated mopping, edge cleaning, and multifunction docks that reduce manual intervention, while also aiming to make the category more accessible through pricing.
At the same time, Dreame has been expanding its direct-to-consumer presence and after-sales support, signalling a longer-term investment in building adoption rather than relying only on premium flagship products.
