ASUS will be launching the ASUS ROG Phone 8 series in China on January 16. The upcoming ROG Phone 8 lineup is likely to include three devices namely the ASUS ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro, and the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate. The renders and specifications of the ROG Phone 8 and the ROG Phone 8 Pro were revealed by the folks at Windows Report a few days back. Now, while we wait for the launch, our team at MySmartPrice has spotted the ASUS ROG Phone 8/8 Pro at Geekbench. The benchmarking platform reveals the key hardware specifications of the device ahead of launch.

ASUS ROG Phone 8/8 Pro Will Pack 16GB of RAM

The Geekbench listing reveals that the ASUS ROG 8/8 Pro (AI2401_C) will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. These devices will run Android 14 out of the box, and will pack up to 16GB of RAM, according to the Geekbench test result.

The smartphones have scored 2210 and 6863 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively in the Geekbench test result.

The ROG Phone 8 and the ROG Phone 8 Pro are rumoured to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The vanilla ROG Phone 8 model is supposed to pack up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, whereas the Pro model is likely to launch in 16GB/24GB of RAM configuration along with 512 GB/1TB of internal storage.

The Pro model is expected to feature a 50MP rear camera (Sony IMX890 sensor), a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP telephoto lens. For selfies and video-calling purpose, the device might boast a 32MP camera. The ROG Phone 8 as well as the ROG Phone 8 Pro might also have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

As for the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate, this device will be also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, as revealed by Geekbench listing previously. The smartphone is expected to pack up to 24GB of RAM. The device will offer up to 65W fast charging support, as revealed by the 3C certification. The other specifications of the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate model remain a mystery at the moment.
