ASUS unveiled its ROG Phone 8 Pro Series at CES 2024 with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The company also upgraded the camera setup of its gaming phone with a telephoto lens and 6-axis gimbal OIS. ASUS has now confirmed that the ROG Phone 8 Pro, and the ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition will now be available for purchase at Vijay Sales, a popular retail chain in India.

Pricing for the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro starts at Rs 94,999 which comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition is priced at Rs 1,19,999 and is available in a 24GB+1TB configuration. Both devices will be available for purchase across Vijay Sales offline stores across India, and their website. Customers can also buy the device on the ASUS Online Store.

The ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is over 30% faster than its predecessor. Both Pro models feature a MiniLED display at the back, which can be customized by users to show animations. The device also comes with AirTriggers which can be used as an additional set of control buttons while gaming.
ASUS has also introduced a new AeroActive cooler with its latest gaming phone. This cooler is 29% smaller than its previous iteration and can reduce the temperature of the phone by up to 26 degrees Celsius, as per ASUS. The AeroActive cooler comes bundled only with the ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition.
Coming to the regular specifications of the phone, the ROG Phone 8 Pro models feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution. This display has a refresh rate of 165Hz and a touch-sampling rate of 720Hz. The screen is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for scratch and crack resistance.
ASUS finally upgraded the camera setup of its gaming phone. The triple rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with 6-axis OIS for gimbal stabilization. The secondary camera is a 32MP telephoto lens with support for 3x optical zoom. The third camera is a 13MP ultrawide lens. The selfie camera is a 32MP shooter.
The ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro devices are powered by a 5500mAh battery. The devices support 65W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. They also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.
