Google has launched the Pixel 6 series. The company has finally announced the complete spec sheet of its two flagship devices, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Google’s latest Pixel phones were announced earlier this year. At the time, the company teased certain specs and features of the Pixel 6 series without diving deep into the details. Today at the Pixel 6 launch event, the company has announced the pricing along with its availability details. Google Pixel 6 series price

The Google Pixel 6 launched at the event today comes in two storage configurations. It comes in two storage configurations with 8GB of RAM as standard. The 128GB variant is priced at $599 (roughly Rs 45,900). Pricing details of the 256GB variant remain unknown at the moment. It comes in Kinda Coral, Sorta Seafoam, and Stormy Black colour options.

The Pixel 6 Pro comes with three storage configurations with 12 RAM as standard. The phone is launched in 128GB/ 256GB/ 512GB storage options. Pixel 6 Pro price in the US starts at $898 (roughly Rs 67,500). It comes in Cloudy White, Sorta Sunny, and Stormy Black colour options.

Google’s Android flagship smartphones go on sale starting October 28 in the US, UK, Japan and select other markets. There is no word on the Google Pixel 6 series India launch details at the moment.

Specifications and features

The Pixel 6 series come with Google’s Tensor chip under the hood. The custom-developed chip is said to be up to 80 percent faster than the Pixel 5’s Snapdragon 765G SoC. Both smartphones come with the Google Titan M2 security chip as well.

The Pixel 6 sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, whereas the 6 Pro has a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with a variable refresh rate ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz. The display on the Pro model is curved and like the vanilla model, has a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus. Both devices run Android 12 out of the box and are IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.

On the back, the two smartphones share a 50MP primary camera sensor that is said to capture 150 percent more light than older Pixel phones. Accompanying this primary camera is a 12MP ultrawide sensor. The Pro model gets an exclusive 48MP telephoto camera sensor with 4x optical zoom and 20x Super Res Zoom. The camera is capable of recording videos at 4K 60fps. The Pixel 6 series comes with exclusive camera features like Magic Eraser, which helps remove unwanted objects in images. It also features Motion Mode features options like Action Pan and Long Exposure. Action Pan focuses on a moving object and adds a blur to the background.

For selfies and video calls, the Pixel 6 comes with an 8MP front camera sensor, whereas the Pro model has an 11.1MP front camera. Under the hood, the Pixel 6 packs a 4600 mAh battery, whereas the Pro model packs a 5000 mAh cell. Both devices support 30W wired fast charging. The 6 Pro also supports 23W wireless charging, whereas the vanilla model supports 21W wireless charging.
