  1. Open Zoom on Browser or Desktop client (app).
  2. Click on “Host a meeting” on the top-right corner next to your profile picture.
  3. Select an option to start a video-on, video-off, or screen share only meeting.
  4. You will get a prompt to open the Zoom desktop client, click cancel if you want to host the meeting in the browser. (You will get a message which says “Having issues with Zoom Client? Join from Your Browser).
  5. Once the meeting has started, you can click “Participants”.

How to Schedule a Zoom Meeting Using Browser and Desktop Client

If you plan on hosting a meeting sometime later in the day or week, Zoom allows you to create a scheduled meeting. With this feature, you can schedule a Zoom meeting for a specific day along with your timings for the meeting.  Here is how you can schedule a Zoom meeting using a browser and desktop client.   1. Open Zoom browser / Zoom desktop client (one of the two according to your preference).
  2. Click on “Schedule a meeting” on the top bar. 
  3. Enter the Topic of the meeting and select the date, time, and duration of the meeting
  4. Change the password if required and you can leave the rest of the options with default details. 
  5. Click on “Save”.

How to Host a Zoom Meeting Using Mobile App

Zoom also has a mobile application for Android and iOS platforms. The app allows most of the basic functions that are there in the desktop or web version. Here’s how you can create a meeting on Zoom using its mobile applications.

  1. Open the Zoom application on your phone.

  3. By default the video will be turned on, if you don’t want others to see your video, make sure to turn this off. 
  4. Click on “Start a Meeting” (enable permissions for mic/camera if prompted).

Here’s how you can schedule a Zoom Meeting using its mobile application on both Android and iOS.

  1. Open the Zoom app on your Android or iOS device.
