Lenovo is all set to launch its new ‘Legion’ branded gaming smartphone later this month. We’re sure you have read our previous reports on this handset in which we had speculated about the possibility of the device launching sometime in July. Today, we have come across an AnTuTu benchmark result that apparently belongs to this upcoming Lenovo Legion smartphone. Apart from revealing the new processor, a couple of other hardware specs of the device have also been revealed thanks to the image. The image first appeared on the Chinese social media website Weibo and has reference to the model number L79031. Until now, the only information we had about this new aging smartphone was that it features the latest Snapdragon 865 Plus processor and that it will be officially announced in July.

Anyway, take a look at the AnTuTu results image below.

From the image, it is clear that the Lenovo Legion gaming phone gets the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset which as you might have guessed by now is an enhanced, gaming-centric variant of the vanilla SD865. For graphics, the SD865 uses the Adreno 650 GPU. Also evident from the result is the fact that the Lenovo Legion phone gets 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and has 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Also known is the fact that the handset apparently gets a 1080 x 2340 pixels display with support likely for a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone also runs Android 10 at launch. The phone manages to score 648871 points in the benchmarks with the scores for the CPU, GPU, memory, and UX tests being 187,401, 246,980, 114,314, and 100,176 points respectively.

We are still in the dark as far as the rest of the specifications of the Lenovo Legion gaming phone is concerned. We do have rumors, though, about the possibility that the phone could feature a 4,000 mAh battery (which sounds a bit low for a gaming smartphone) and that it will feature a side-mounted pop-up selfie camera. And yes, the much talked about 90W charging speeds! Anyway, that’s all we have for you as far as this interesting new Lenovo Legion gaming phone is concerned. Do watch this space for further updates on this upcoming smartphone.
