The Honor 8X packs impressive specifications and generally a feature-rich phone. The smartphone touted a ‘Screen Fighter’ which boasts a 6.5-inch display with FHD+ resolution with 2340×1080 pixels. The display design also features a notch, has no bezels on the sides, features a thin chin and a mirror-finish blending. The HiSilicon Kirin 710F octa-core processor powers the Honor 8X alongside a quad-core Mali-G51 GPU. The Honor 8X comes in two memory configurations of 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM. The internal storage options on the Honor 8X come in 64GB and 128GB, which could be expanded using a microSD card. The Honor 8X will run Android 8.1 Oreo along with a software skin in EMUI 8.2. The smartphone will pack a decent 3750mAh battery, which could back up the device for at least a day on a single charge.
Other features on the Honor 8X includes a dual SIM, Bluetooth Wi-Fi, GPS, USB OTG, Micro-USB. On the sensors front, the Honor 8X features a Compass, Fingerprint sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

The Honor 8X sports a 20MP+2MP dual AI-rear camera setup and features a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The cameras on the Honor 8X are AI-assisted, which will be able to recognize over 500 scenarios across 22 different categories. Overall, it will optimize the entire photography experience on the smartphone and enhance photo quality based on the subjects used in the pictures. The cameras are also known to excel with night shots, without needing a tripod. It also holds the ability to analyse camera movements to select and combine different frames to ensure blur-free images intelligently.
Honor 8X: Price and Availability
The Honor 8X will release on October 16 and exclusively sell on Amazon India. There’s no accurate information on the expected prices for the Honor 8X in India. However, in China the 4GB+64GB version priced at 1399 yuan (Rs.14,900 approx), the 6GB+64GB at 1599 yuan (Rs.17,100 approx) and the 6GB+128GB at 1899 yuan (Rs.20,300 approx).
