  • Nothing has sent out invites for MWC 2024.
  • The company could give a glimpse of its upcoming Phone (3) at the event.
  • The invite itself seems cryptic but going by Nothing’s previous records, an announcement related to Phone (3) is expected.

Nothing may be gearing up to reveal details about its next-generation smartphone Nothing (3) soon. The London-based company has sent out media invites for the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2024. The MWC is among the largest trade shows globally for the mobile telecommunications industry and takes place every year in February-March in Barcelona. In 2024, the MWC will held from Feb 26-29.

Carl-Pei’s “Nothing to See” invite (via Android Authority) asks to save the date for an event by the company on February 27 evening at the MWC, Barcelona. Apart from this, the invite does not reveal much. However, the company has in the past used the MWC event to announce its upcoming devices, which leads us to believe that Nothing could give us a hint about what Phone (3) could look like.

Nothing MWC Invite: What To Expect?

Nothing Phone (3) will be the third smartphone in the company’s portfolio of consumer technology devices. The company itself is only a few years old and was founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei in October 2020. If we go by past instances, then it is not uncommon for the company to showcase its upcoming smartphone at MWC.

For instance, ahead of the launch of Nothing Phone 1, Pei showcased a prototype of the device to key executives from the industry during meetings at MWC 2022, as per a TechCrunch report. This was the company’s first-ever smartphone and it was finally launched in July 2022.

Similarly, Pei confirmed at MWC 2023 that Phone (2) will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series SoC, without revealing anything else in detail. The smartphone made its debut in July 2023 with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.

The latest invite for MWC 2024 is quite cryptic as well and does not say much. So, it is recommended to wait for an official announcement by the company to know more.

As it did with its previous-generation smartphones, the company could reveal some details about the Phone (3) at MWC before launching it in July. However, these are just speculations and need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
