OnePlus has officially announced a new smartphone named the OnePlus 11R 5G Solar Red. It is a special edition variant of the OnePlus 11R 5G that was launched in India in February. The new edition was first teased a couple of days ago. It comes with a new premium back panel finish, more RAM, and more storage as compared to the standard model. OnePlus 11R 5G Solar Red Price and Availability
The OnePlus 11R 5G Solar Red will go on sale on October 7 at 12 AM IST. It will be available for purchase via Amazon India and OnePlus Store. Unfortunately, pricing details have not been revealed yet. We will have to wait until the first sale to know how much the new special edition smartphone will cost.
OnePlus 11R 5G Solar Red Specifications and Features
The OnePlus 11R 5G Solar Red comes with a distinctive look and back panel finish. This makes it stand apart from the standard OnePlus 11R right away. It has a textured vegan leather back in the signature OnePlus Red colour. OnePlus further adds that it “reimagines the classic sandstone-like hand-feel, providing users with a comfortable grip that complements the device’s premium aesthetics and adds a touch of nostalgia.”
Visual change is not the only difference available on the new smartphone. The OnePlus 11R Solar Red comes with a massive 18GB RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. This is more than the 16GB RAM and 256GB storage available on the standard edition. There is RAM-Vita technology which we also saw on the OnePlus 11 5G flagship.
The company claims it compresses apps and intelligently allocates RAM for future-proof fluency. This technology and more RAM will allow the new special edition to run up to 50 apps smoothly simultaneously as compared to up to 44 apps on the 16GB RAM variant.
The OnePlus 11R Solar Red has 100W SuperVOOC Endurance Edition fast charging support. It is claimed to deliver a full 100% charge from 1% on the phone’s 5,000mAh battery within only 25 minutes. The phone also gets the same 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates promised as the standard edition.
