OPPO has officially confirmed the existence of its next-generation camera-centric smartphones from its popular Reno series. The company recently posted images of the upcoming Reno 4 smartphone on its Weibo profile, revealing the phone’s rear camera array. While they stopped short of announcing an official launch date for the Reno 4 series, we can expect a launch in the near future. OPPO also indirectly confirmed the existence of another model called the OPPO Reno 4 Pro via the Weibo post after it became evident that the message was sent from an OPPO Reno 4 Pro 5G.

Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno 4 series has also appeared on Chinese certification platform TENAA where four separate model numbers have been spotted. These four model numbers include PDNM00, PDNT00, PDPM00, and PDPT00. As of now, we believe that the model numbers PDNM00 AND PDNT00 belong to different variants of one model while PDPM00 and PDPT00 belong to another model. One of the models (PDNT00) has also appeared on the MIIT portal.

Before we proceed any further, take a look at the images of the Reno 4.

As seen above, the Reno 4 gets a triple camera array at the rear with a very prominent camera bump. All three lenses appear to be of the same size, but we do not, as of now, have details regarding the sensors that OPPO uses on these three cameras. We can expect the device to feature excellent imaging capabilities as the case generally is with the Reno series.

As of now, we know that the Reno 4 shall come in two color options – both dual-tone. The rear panel also gets a vertical OPPO branding. As we drafted this article, a set of images of the OPPO Reno 4 surfaced on JD.com, where the triple camera array and the ‘UltraStready’ text is seen. This, more or less, signifies that the OPPO Reno 4 will almost certainly feature excellent image stabilization features.

Take a look at the detailed renders below.

Thanks to the TENAA listing, we know at this point that one of the devices will feature a 6.4-inch display and has a battery capacity of 1965mAh. The second device appears to have a slightly lower battery capacity but a slightly larger display (6.5- inches and 1955mAh).

It is quite likely that this rather low battery capacity is due to the fact that OPPO will use twin 1965mAh (and 1955mAh) batteries on these phones, which will endow the devices with nearly 4,000mAh battery capacity.

Take a look at the translated screenshots of the TENAA and MIIT listings for these handsets.

While not confirmed yet, the display on the OPPO Reno 4 is expected to feature a punch-hole style front-facing camera, while its better-endowed cousin — the Reno 4 Pro will get a dual punch hole camera at the front. As for the rest of the specs, we expect the TENAA page to be updated with more specs later today. We shall update this article with all the new details very soon.
