Update (06/05/2020, 11:45 AM):
Xiaomi has removed the listing of the POCO M2 Pro from the RF page of its official Indian website. The listings of the Redmi Note 9 and the Mi 10, however, are still live on the website.
The original story follows…
While everyone is waiting for Xiaomi to launch the Redmi K30 Pro in the Indian market, the brand seems to have a few more things planned for its Indian customers. Today, we have spotted an all-new smartphone on Xiaomi’s official website for India, that we haven’t ever heard of before, the POCO M2 Pro. Yes, you have read it right. It is not the POCO F2 or the POCO F2 Pro. It is the POCO M2 Pro.
POCO M2 Pro listed on Xiaomi’s official website for India
The POCO M2 Pro has been listed on the RF exposure section of the brand’s official website for India. According to the listing of the POCO M2 Pro, the model number of the device is M2001J2I. It also reveals that the phone has 1.6 W/kg (over 1 g) SAR limit but I guess that is of no interest to anyone.
So, what is POCO M2 Pro? Is it the rebranded POCO F2 or the POCO F2 Pro? Nope, it is not. Because the model number of the POCO F2 (Pro) is M2004J11G, which is totally different from the M2001J2I model number of the POCO M2 Pro.
Whatever is the case, the POCO M2 Pro moniker has now been confirmed. And it might launch anytime now in India as the device has been listed on the brand’s official website. While we wish the page revealed more info about the device, it, unfortunately, doesn’t.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 and Mi 10 listed on Xiaomi’s official website for India
Don’t be disappointed though. We have some more interesting news for you guys. We have spotted two more devices on Xiaomi India’s RF exposure page, the Redmi Note 9 and the Mi 10, confirming that these two devices are set to launch in the Indian market.
According to the listings of these devices, the model number of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is M2003J15SI and that of the Mi 10 is M2001J2I. And that is all it reveals about these upcoming phones. That being said, we know the specs of these devices as they have already been launched in other markets.
It is possible then that Xiaomi might launch these three devices in India at once. And if that is the case, the Redmi Note 9 will come as a mid-range smartphone and the Mi 10 will launch as a high-end device. That leaves us wondering if the POCO M2 Pro will launch as an upper mid-range phone.
