POCO X5 Pro 5G Appears on NBTC Certification Website; Indian Variant Clears BIS Certifications

POCO India head recently teased the launch of the POCO X5 series and hinted that the devices could launch in January or February in India. Also, recently a report claimed that the POCO X5 Pro will launch this month in the Indian market. Ahead of its rumoured launch, the POCO X5 Pro global version with model number 22101320G has now been spotted on the NBTC, TDRA, and EEC certification websites.

Alongside, the POCO X5 Pro Indian variant with model number 22101320I has also cleared Bureau of Indian Standard certification. Appearance on multiple certification databases does hint that the POCO X5 Pro global debut is imminent. Let us take a closer look at the details.

The POCO X5 Pro NBTC certification listing confirms the moniker of the smartphone. Apart from it, there is nothing that’s revealed in the latest certification listings. However, based on the model number, it is confirmed that the POCO X5 Pro will be a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition which was launched recently in China.

To those unaware, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and an Adreno 642L GPU. The smartphone offers a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 900 nits peak brightness.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition offers a 108MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. It is equipped with a 16MP shooter that handles selfies and video calls. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery and 67W fast charging support. It offers a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos audio.
