Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is expected to launch the Redmi K70 series smartphones in China by the end of this month. The lineup is expected to include three devices namely the Redmi K70, Redmi K70E, and the Redmi K70 Pro. Redmi also recently confirmed that its upcoming Redmi K70E smartphone will be powered by the newly launched Dimensity 8300 SoC. Now, in a recent development, the brand has revealed the battery capacity and display details of the device.
Redmi K70E Will Feature 1.5K Resolution Display, 5500mAh Battery
As per the teaser shared by the company, the upcoming Redmi K70E will feature a 1.5K resolution display. The display panel will have an 1800 nits brightness and a 1920Hz high-frequency dimming support. Furthermore, the device will be equipped with a 5,500mAh battery which will offer 90W fast charging support. The company also has revealed that the battery because of its proprietary battery technology, the smartphone’s battery health will be 90% even after 1,000 heavy and long load cycles. The smartphone will measure 8.05mm in terms of thickness, as confirmed by the brand.
The previous leak suggests that the smartphone will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display. The display panel might have a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the device is confirmed to feature Dimensity 8300 SoC. The smartphone might pack up to 16GB of RAM and a 1TB of internal storage. The device is rumoured to feature a 16MP front-facing camera, while the rear of the handset might include a triple-camera setup.
The rear-facing camera module on the handset is expected to include a 64MP primary camera with an OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The device is expected to have a glass back and a plastic frame. The handset might weigh around 198 grams. At present, Redmi has not confirmed the Redmi K70 series launch date. However, considering that the company has started teasing several aspects of the device, we can expect the K70 lineup to go official in China by the end of this month.
