Now, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 12 5G in a higher 8GB + 256GB configuration in the Indian market. The company took it to social media channels to make a formal announcement for the same. Redmi Note 12 5G: Price in India and Availability
The Redmi Note 12 5G 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 21,999 in the Indian market. However, as an introductory offer, the company will offer a Rs 1000 instant discount which brings the price down to Rs 20,999. This introductory offer includes bank and other offers as mentioned in the launch poster.
The Redmi Note 12 5G also retails in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB configuration options which are priced at Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999 respectively. The smartphone is available for purchase exclusively via Amazon and Mi Store.
The Note 12 5G offers a 120Hz AMOLED display with a 1200nits peak brightness and a Full HD+ resolution. It measures 6.67 inches in size and features a 45,00,000: 1 contrast ratio. The display panel features a centered punch hole notch and is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Powering the latest Note 12 series smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. It brings with it an octa-core CPU and an integrated Adreno 619 GPU. The smartphone packs up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage and up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. The Note 12 5G comes pre-loaded with MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12. The brand has also promised two Android version upgrades and three years of security patch updates for the device.
Talking about the optics, the Note 12 5G offers a 48MP primary rear shooter with an f/1.8 aperture. Accompanying the high-resolution sensor are an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro sensor, and an LED flash. The handset relies on a 12MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
The Note 12 5G comes equipped with a 5000mAh battery unit. It supports 33W fast charging (33W adapter included in retail box) over a Type-C charging port. Talking about the security features, it packs a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and software-based face unlock. The Note 12 5G has a (hybrid) micro-SD card, a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as an IR blaster.
