
National Cinema Day will be held in India on September 16. The first ever National Cinema Day will bring a huge price cut to all the movies across India and on this one-day event, all Cinema halls will be charging a nominal and uniform price of just Rs 75 一 this pricing will be applicable on regular theatres as well as multiplex including the likes of INOX, PVR, Cinepolis, Carnival, M2K, Wave, Asian, and more across the nation.
This one-day offer will be applicable across more than 4,000 theatres. This is one way to encourage people to head to the theatre and watch movies on the big screen. In the US, the National Cinema Day is being held this weekend and tickets will be sold for $3.
Movies at Rs 75 on September 16th Across India
Multiplex Association of India has announced that to celebrate National Cinema Day in India on September 16th, Friday, all participating cinemas with 4000+ screens will charge Rs 75 per ticket per person. This one-day event will bring together audiences of all ages to enjoy a day at the movies. National Cinema Day is being held to celebrate the successful reopening of cinemas and is a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers who made this happen 一 supporting the industry during the pandemic and lockdown.
This initiative is primarily for those moviegoers who haven’t made it back to a cinema near them yet. India has been doing well with movies this year and in the recent quarter, Indian movies recorded impressive numbers among cinema operators on the back of global and local tent poles that resonated with the Indian audience.

Some of the biggest blockbusters from 2022 include movies like KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Vikram, Bhool Bhulaiya 2, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Top Gun: Maverick. As for early September, movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home The Extended Version is running in cinemas and next week, the much-awaited Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be released as well. On September 16th, interested people will be able to watch these movies for just Rs 75 across India.

It is also worth mentioning that if you are booking tickets on online portals like BMS or PayTM, you will have to pay additional charges as tax and charges.
