Samsung recently shared a teaser about the launch of its Galaxy Ring at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The upcoming ring was showcased at the event hosted in San Jose, California. The teaser shared by the South Korean giant gave us a glance at the health, wellness, and fitness features of the upcoming ring. Now, Avi Greegart, a tech analyst on Instagram Threads, has shared few details regarding the upcoming ring.

The upcoming Galaxy Ring is expected to rival the rings that were previously debuted by other wearable brands. Amazfit, a Chinese wearable brand, recently unveiled the Amazfit Hello Ring at the CES 2024 event to rival the rings debuted by the homegrown brands in India. Homegrown brands such as Noise and boAt have already launched the Noise Luna Ring and boAt Smart Ring in India.

Samsung Galaxy Ring Launch Timeline

The tech analyst has shared the launch timeline of the Galaxy Ring. Samsung will likely debut the wearable device in the second half of 2024, according to him, which is not surprising. The launch of the product has been delayed due to decisions regarding the pricing of the ring and the analyst adds that the South Korean giant is yet to decide the final price.

Samsung will likely debut the wearable product at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which will take place in July or August. The South Korean will likely launch the successors to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 smartphones at the next big event it hosts.

The analyst has also shared the colour options and sizes of the upcoming smart ring from the South Korean giant. He claims the upcoming device will be one of the lightest smart ring available on the market. The analyst mentions that the smart ring will debut in multiple sizes and claimed he has had a hands-on experience with the Galaxy Ring. The analyst wasn’t able to take pictures owing to the restrictions imposed by Samsung.

The smart ring is tipped to launch in sizes up to 13 to cater to different people in the market. Samsung will also debut the Galaxy Ring in three colours. The teaser shared by the South Korean giant during the Galaxy Unpacked event revealed the silver hue colour option.

At the launch event, Samsung claimed that the smart ring will be a powerful and accessible health and wellness device. The teaser showed the Galaxy Ring will come with a heart rate monitor and pogo pins to charge the device. TM Roh, Samsung MX Head, revealed that the ring is aimed at customers, who don’t like wearing smartwatches during sleep owing to the bulky size. These users will be able to track their sleep data with the help of the Galaxy Ring.

The smart ring was previously tipped to have the capability to track, measure, monitor, and upload health, fitness, and sleep-related data. The Galaxy Ring is rumoured to have capabilities for heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen level monitoring, and workout detection.
