Now, Vivo has also officially started teasing the launch of the forthcoming devices. The Chinese giant has dropped the teasers of the duo on its official Facebook account. The company has also created a dedicated microsite, which reveals the key specifications of the upcoming devices.
Vivo hasn’t explicitly announced the launch date of the latest offerings in its popular V series. The teasers shared by the brand reveal the caption “Design Every Moment,” indicating the focus on the camera performance of the forthcoming smartphones.
However, the “Know More” button on the microsite reveals, “Stay Tuned, Until we meet on October 4.” This indicates that the V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G will be launched on October 4 in India. The landing page further confirms that the devices will sport an ultra-slim 3D curved AMOLED panel. The AMOLED display will be surrounded by thin bezels.
Vivo claims that the upcoming smartphones will be the first to feature a 3D particle technology on the rear panel. The Vivo V29 5G and V29 Pro 5G will have a thickness of 7.46mm, and weigh 186 and 188 grams, respectively. The Chinese giant will launch the smartphones in Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red, and Space Black colour options.
The phonemaker also revealed that the Majestic Red colour variant of the device will bring a color-changing glass back panel. The OEM claims that the upcoming smartphones will be a masterpiece in portraits, and will feature a Smart Aura light to improve night portraits.
Vivo will also equip the smartphones with India-specific presets, including Wedding presets for portraits. Vivo confirms that the V29 Pro 5G will have a 12MP Sony IMX 663 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The renders shared by the brand reveal that the power button and volume rockers will be on the right.
MySmartPrice previously reported that Vivo will equip the Pro variant with a 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor. We also revealed that the Chinese giant will price the smartphones under Rs 40,000. The upcoming smartphones are likely to be available through Flipkart in India.
