DCS recently tipped that the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series smartphones might be the first to equip with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and MIUI 15. Xiaomi 14 Ultra Launch Timeline and Known Specifications
The IMEI listing reveals that the forthcoming device will feature the model numbers 24030PN60C and 24030PN60G. The model numbers indicate that the smartphone will be launched in the global and Chinese markets. The C and G in the model number stand for Chinese and global markets. Like its predecessor, Xiaomi is likely to skip the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone launch in India.
The “2403” numbers in the model number indicated that Xiaomi will launch the smartphone in March 2024. The rumoured launch timeline is one month ahead of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone launch. Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro were previously spotted in the IMEI database with the model numbers 24030PN60C, 24030PN60G and 23116PN5BC, 23116PN5BG.
Digital Chat Station revealed that Xiaomi will launch the vanilla 14 and 14 Pro smartphones in November 2023. The GSMChina report also adds that Xiaomi will launch the smartphone in Turkey, Taiwan, and Russia. Popular tipster Mukul Sharma reveals that internal testing of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro is undergoing in several European and Eurasian regions. He adds that the devices have received the conformity certification.
The MIUI source code revealed that the forthcoming 14 Ultra smartphone will have the codename Aurora. Xiaomi will equip the smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. DCS revealed that the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature a quad-rear camera setup. The rear camera setup will feature many improvements over Xiaomi 13 Ultra (first impressions) and Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 smartphones.
The upcoming device is expected to feature a primary 50MP sensor with a sensor size of 1.33 inches. DCS revealed that Xiaomi will equip the device with a digital zooming capability of 120X. Xiaomi will also equip the device with a front camera that can record videos in 4K resolution. There is no information about any other specifications of the upcoming device.
