  • Xiaomi has provided three years of software support to both handsets.

Xiaomi has added the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max to the EOL (end-of-life) list. This means that the company will no longer roll out updates. Check out the details below.

No More Updates for Redmi Note 10 Pro Series

The Redmi Note 10 Pro series won’t also get any security patch updates. This also means that the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max will remain on MIUI and will not be upgraded to HyperOS.

Redmi EOL List

To recall, the Note 10 series smartphones were introduced in 2021 and are almost three years old at this point. The Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max users were expecting Xiaomi to provide HyperOS updates to the handsets as these smartphones haven’t received firmware updates for the last few months. The addition of these handsets to the EOL list would certainly be disappointing for the users.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro series users have faced several issues with their devices since the launch. The company officially acknowledged the proximity sensor issue on the Note 10 Pro. Users reportedly also faced the camera dead issue on their units, which the company acknowledged and as a result, offered to repair the affected devices for free.

Last year, the company announced an extended warranty program for several devices, including the Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max. The Redmi Note 10 Pro series smartphones offered a good value for money proposition, in a typical Redmi fashion. However, with such issues and the end of updates in around three years, the Note 10 Pro series owners would not be happy with such an experience.
