Xiaomi to Launch Mix Fold 3, Pad 6 Max and Redmi K60 Ultra in August

The software build of upcoming Mix Fold 3 and Pad 6 Max has been went live on the official server of MIUI ahead of reported August launch.

Xiaomi President Lu Weibing recently answered a question related to the launch of the upcoming Mi Mix Fold 3 device. Li Weibing revealed that the company would launch the product in August in China. The device was recently spotted on the 3C certification website, indicating the launch is nearing.

A new device from Xiaomi Pad 6 series was spotted in the Bluetooth SIG listing. The device was later spotted on the 3C certification website. The 3C listing also hinted that the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max is nearing. A new report from Xiaomiui reveals that the Chinese giant would launch many products in the launch event scheduled for Mi Mix Fold 3.

Xiaomi Products Launching in August in China

Xiaomiui report reveals that Xiaomi will launch Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone in early August in China. The report claims that the upcoming Mi Mix Fold 3 foldable device and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max tablet will be launched in a separate event in China. The report also adds that the software for both Fold 3 and Pad 6 Max is live on the official MIUI server.

Mi Mix Fold 3

The upcoming Mi Mix Fold 3 has the codename Babylon. Xiaomi will equip the device with MIUI MIUI for FOLD 14.1 based on Android 13 out of the box. The recent internal MIUI build of the device has the version number MIUI-V14.1.1.0.TMVCNXM. The firmware indicates that Xiaomi would launch the device only in the Chinese market.

Xiaomi Pad 6 Max

In contrast, the forthcoming Xiaomi Pad 6 Max will feature the codename Yudy. The device will run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box. Xiaomi wouldn’t launch the tablet in the international markets. The Mi Mix Fold 3 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max will be limited to the Chinese markets.

The 3C certification of the tablet and Fold 3 revealed that the devices will feature support for 67W fast charging tech. Other specifications of the tablet are unknown at the moment. Previously, Xiaomi’s President announced that President that Xiaomi would manufacture the upcoming Mi Mix Fold 3 in a new smart factory in China.

The President hints that the new factory will improve the build quality of the upcoming products. Lu Weibing confirmed that Xiaomi will launch the Mix Fold 3 with the Leica partnership. The partnership will bring improvements in the optics of the forthcoming device. Previously, Digital Chat Station revealed that the company would equip the foldable device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

The upcoming Fold 3 is expected to feature a quad rear camera. Xiaomi would equip the device with flagship sensors. The device is tipped to pack a 50MP Sony IMX858 primary sensor. The other sensors are ultra-wide-angle, telephoto, and periscope lenses. The upcoming Mi Mix Fold 3 will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. Like Xiaomi’s flagship smartphones, the device is expected to support 50W wireless charging tech.
