Nuuk Brisk Air Fryer Review: Compact Design, Thoughtful Controls, and a Clear Health Pitch

Nuuk is slowly carving out its space in India’s crowded kitchen appliance market by leaning into two themes that resonate strongly with urban buyers today. Health-conscious cooking and practical design. The Brisk Air Fryer reflects this strategy clearly. Instead of chasing headline-grabbing wattage numbers or oversized capacities, Nuuk focuses on everyday usability, compact form, and materials that promise safer cooking.

This is particularly interesting because the air fryer segment has become increasingly noisy. Many brands are launching similar-looking products with overlapping feature lists, often differing only in capacity or cosmetic tweaks. Against this backdrop, the Brisk feels like a product designed with actual kitchen constraints in mind.

Design, Size, and Build Quality

After reviewing air fryers consistently for the past six months, the first thing that stood out about the Nuuk Brisk is its shape. Most air fryers in this category are tall and bulky, often awkward to place on a standard kitchen counter. The Brisk takes a more grounded approach. It is wider, shorter, and far more practical in everyday placement.

Despite the compact footprint, the basket itself is generously sized. The wider surface area makes a noticeable difference while cooking fries or reheating snacks, allowing food to spread out instead of stacking vertically. This directly impacts even cooking and crispiness.

Nuuk also leans heavily into its ceramic-coated basket, positioning it as a health-forward choice. Beyond the marketing language, the real benefit shows up during cleanup. Oil residue lifts easily, food does not cling stubbornly to the surface, and maintenance feels simpler compared to traditional non-stick baskets. Although I mostly cook with a silicon tray added in and used that for most of the food items, I added in this fryer as well.

The see-through window on the front has become a familiar feature across newer air fryers, and rightly so. It allows you to keep track of browning and texture without opening the basket, which helps retain heat and makes timing shakes or rotations easier.

Controls and Presets: Simple Done Right

The Brisk uses a full touch interface, and this is where it genuinely stands out. Touch panels are not new to air fryers, but implementation varies wildly. Having used models like the Inalsa Tasty Fry DW, which also relies on touch controls but feels unintuitive and cluttered, the difference here is immediately apparent.
You can read our detailed experience with that model here.

The Nuuk Brisk’s touch panel is smooth, responsive, and logically laid out. Presets are easy to understand, and more importantly, manual control does not feel like an afterthought. Adjusting time and temperature is straightforward, which matters because not every recipe fits neatly into a preset.

The air fryer offers multiple presets covering everyday use cases such as fries, snacks, grilling, reheating, and baking. Rather than overloading the interface, these presets feel sensibly tuned and practical for daily cooking.

Everyday Cooking Performance

For testing, the Brisk was put through a mix of routine and slightly demanding tasks.

French fries came out evenly cooked, with a crisp exterior and soft interior. The wider basket played a key role here, allowing proper air circulation without overcrowding. Toast and grilled cheese were equally fuss-free, delivering even browning and clean cheese melt without drying the bread.

Reheating samosas was one of the more pleasant surprises. Unlike microwaves, which often harden the outer layer while leaving the filling unevenly heated, the Brisk managed to retain moisture while heating evenly throughout. The samosas tasted reheated, not compromised.

Making samosas from scratch, however, reinforces a familiar truth about air fryers. No matter how many reels or influencer demonstrations exist, air frying is not a full replacement for deep frying. With the Brisk, two cooking cycles were needed. The first run used the crispy fry mode at a lower temperature, followed by a second cycle at a higher temperature. The samosas developed a very convincing golden-brown colour, close to deep-fried results, but the texture remained more baked than fried. This is not a shortcoming unique to Nuuk, but rather a limitation of air frying as a method.

Paneer and mushroom tikka were easily the most enjoyable dishes to prepare. The Brisk delivered satisfying char and browning without drying out the paneer. The see-through window made it easy to time rotations, and this is where the appliance felt genuinely fun to use.

Verdict

The Nuuk Brisk Air Fryer positions itself smartly in a highly competitive segment. It does not attempt to outgun established players purely on specifications. Instead, it focuses on everyday usability, thoughtful design, and a clear health narrative through its ceramic coating.

At its price point, the Brisk competes with both legacy brands and aggressively priced alternatives. While established names may still hold an edge in long-term trust and service reach, the Brisk counters with a more modern interface, a practical form factor, and features that feel genuinely useful in daily cooking. The ease of cleaning alone makes a strong case for frequent users.

For buyers looking for a compact, easy-to-use air fryer that prioritises comfort, clarity, and healthier materials over gimmicks, the Nuuk Brisk is a well-rounded choice. It does not redefine what an air fryer can do, but it executes the core experience with confidence and restraint, which is often exactly what most kitchens need.
