JioSaavn is one of the most popular music streaming platforms in India. In its latest endeavor to benefit its users, JioSaavn has announced a new ‘Share’ option that allows users to share a song, podcast, or even a playlist directly to their Facebook and Instagram Stories. Users will also have an option to add more elements to the story, such as Stickers or GIFs. A similar option is available in the western markets through Spotify.
In the announcement post of the new feature, JioSaavn’s chief platform officer stated that the app wants to offer superior social music experience to the users. It is notable that JioSaavn’s integration with Instagram brings 50 million tracks in 16 languages to the social platform. It also allows users to share their favorite music with followers and friends seamlessly.

The Sharing feature by JioSaavn could be yet another profitable prospect as Instagram and Facebook Stories clock more than 500 million daily active users around the world. The new feature by JioSaavn would also be elementary for the promotion of Indian and South Asian music on popular social media platforms.
To recall, Reliance Jio and Saavn partnered last year resulting in the making of a new music streaming platform, JioSaavn. The app has over 100 million downloads on Play Store. On Apple’s App Store the app is placed at the third spot in the ‘Music’ category. The merger between Saavn and JioMusic was valued at more than $1 Billion. Reliance is expected to invest around $100 Million for growth of the platform driven by Saavn founders.
How To Use Facebook & Instagram ‘Sharing’ Option on JioSaavn
Using the latest Sharing option on JioSaavn is a cakewalk. First, users need to find the song or playlist that they want to share on Instagram and Facebook Stories. Once they have selected the media to share, users need to choose the ‘Share’ option from the menu option next to the song’s or playlist’s name and then choose the medium they want to share it on, i.e. Instagram or Facebook. Additionally, they can also use Stickers or GIFs to customize the story further and then finally share it as their personal story on Instagram or Facebook.
