Apple’s Vision Pro is expected to provide a much-needed boost to the VR and AR segment. The company showcased its headset at WWDC 2023 but did not reveal any significant details about the product.

A new video has surfaced online, giving us a glimpse at the Safari browsing experience using the Vision Pro. It shows that Apple’s upcoming VR headset could provide a true 3D experience for all tasks.

The video was posted on Twitter by the user @M1Astra, who has also previously reported multiple features of the Vision Pro. The latest video shows us that Apple’s headset will let users access multiple browser tabs simultaneously. It also suggests that Apple will make it easier to navigate across tabs even with a slight tilt of your neck.

The Vision Pro will reportedly support voice input, which can be used to quickly input information in the headset. The browser spotted in the video also appears to have all the major features present in the desktop version of Safari.

The overall experience of switching between tabs looks very smooth. Apple is known to focus on delivering the best experience to its users, which has supposedly led to the delay of the company’s ambitious VR project.

According to Mark Gurman, Apple is expected to launch the Vision Pro in the first quarter of 2024. However, the company has not acknowledged any plans for a public release yet. Apple is known to be secretive with its product launches.

Currently, Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta is the market leader in the VR headset segment with its Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro. Sony has also been catching up with its Play Station VR 2, which is the second-most popular product in its category.

Despite having one of the most advanced VR headsets, Meta, Sony, and HTC have not witnessed significant growth in their sales. Instead, the number of VR shipments globally has plunged by over 23% in Q3 2023, as per Counterpoint Research.

Apple is known to disrupt the technology industry with its product launches. The company is often credited for popularizing the concept of TWS earphones with its AirPods. Apple’s quality-first approach helps them to drive demand for its new products, which is expected with its upcoming Vision Pro headset.
