Lava has confirmed the launch date of the Lava O2 smartphone in India. The phone will launch on March 22, which is a few days from now. The teaser shared by the brand also confirms a few more details about the device, including, the chipset.
Lava O2: Confirmed Details
The Lava O2 will be launched at 12 pm on March 22. The launch event will be live-streamed on the social handles of the brand starting at noon. The phone is also confirmed to be available on Amazon, as a microsite for the smartphone is now live on Amazon.

The microsite has revealed that the Lava O2 will be available in Majestic Purple and Green colourways. It will be powered by the UniSoC T616 SoC. The chipset features two Cortex A75 cores at 2.0GHz, six Cortex A55 cores at 1.8GHz, and a Mali G57 MP1 GPU. The teaser adds that the smartphone has scored over 2,80,000 points on the AnTuTu V10 benchmarking platform.
The previous teaser confirmed that the device will sport a centred punch hole cutout to house the selfie camera. The back will house big camera housings for two cameras, including a 50MP primary camera. The right side of the device will house the power button and volume rockers. The USB Type-C port, speaker grille, microphone, and 3.5mm headphone jack will be present on the bottom of the device.
The smartphone is also confirmed to support 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with 18W fast charging.
Lava O2: Expected Specifications
The smartphone listing that went live on Amazon, which has now been taken down, revealed the complete specifications of the device. As per the listing, the smartphone will sport a 6.5-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
The phone is likely to get a 5,000mAh battery, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. All details will be revealed at the March 22 launch, so, stay tuned for more information.
