Just when we thought that the year has ended for Nokia, the company has decided to prove us wrong. As it turns out, Nokia has (at least) one more device in the store which the company is going to unveil on December 5. As per the latest tweet by Nokia on its official Twitter handle, the company will announce the “latest addition” to its lineup of smartphones on the said date. Which one could it be? Well, the best guess points to a potential Nokia 8.2 launch.
Nokia 8.2 could launch on December 5
First of all, the reason as to why Nokia 8.2 is the best guess is because of the fact that the company launched the Nokia 8.1 on the same date (December 5) last year. It, therefore, makes complete sense that the company would want to do the same thing this time around as well.

As far as the specifications of the Nokia 8.2 go, the device is tipped to be powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 700-series chipset (could very well be the Snapdragon 735 SoC) which will be paired with at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is unclear as of now as to whether or not there will be scope for further expansion. There, however, might be more memory variants coming up as well.
Moving on to the display, the Nokia 8.2 is being rumored to feature a bezel-less LCD display. The presence of a notch or a punch-hole is unlikely as the Nokia 8.2 is allegedly going to sport a pop-up camera mechanism. Speaking of cameras, the Nokia 8.2 could feature a 64MP primary camera at the back which would be encased within the company’s typical circular layout.
So far, we know that there will be a 5G variant of the Nokia 8.2 which was originally reported to launch during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020, so if the company launches the Nokia 8.2 on December 5, it might very well be the 4G variant as of now. This, however, is mere speculation as of now, so we might as well take it like that only.
If at all the upcoming device is not the Nokia 8.2, we can expect it to be the upcoming Nokia 2.3. The world of rumors is also not denying the possibility of a Red Color variant of the Nokia 7.2.
As of now, this is all we know about the upcoming Nokia launch, but we are sure to receive further intel on the same in the coming days. As a matter of fact, even the promo video embedded with the tweet hints the same.
