OnePlus Watch has been one of the long-awaited products from the company. Even though the company forayed into the wearable category with the OnePlus Band earlier this year, the OnePlus Watch development started almost 6 years back. The company had started working on a smartwatch in 2015 but decided to discard it later. In Oct 2020, the company took it to social media to share a teaser, and soon after, rumors and leaks surrounding the Watch started popping on the web. Now, the company has finally confirmed the launch date for its first-ever smartwatch. The Watch will make a debut along with the OnePlus 9 series devices later this month on the 23rd of March.

OnePlus took it to social media to share the announcement. Take a look at the official teaser.

OnePlus Watch will feature a Circular Dial!

Back in September, a leak, courtesy Max J, had revealed that the upcoming OnePlus smartwatch will feature a circular dial. A couple of months later, Max J. claimed that the OnePlus smartwatch will not run Google’s WearOS. Later in an interview, Pete Lau talked about the upcoming OnePlus Watch, but didn’t give a very clear indication if it will run WearOS or not.

In January, OnePlus Health app teardown showed us some of the Watchfaces of the upcoming OnePlus Watch. These watch faces confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus Watch will feature a circular dial. Take a look at the watch faces below,

As revealed in the OnePlus Health teardown, the upcoming OnePlus smartwatch might carry model number W301GB. Unfortunately, only this much is known about the OnePlus Watch for now. Indian readers must be excited to know that a couple of OnePlus Smartwatches have already cleared BIS certification, so the India launch is definitely happening.
