Qualcomm has just announced its new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with on-device Generative AI capabilities. It’s a highly anticipated processor designed to cater to flagship killer smartphones while retaining the bells and whistles of the top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Here’s a list of upcoming smartphones that are confirmed to launch with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro
Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch the Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This will happen on March 21 in China. However, the company has not revealed any additional specifications of the device.
The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro is expected to launch in India as the Xiaomi 14 Lite, but the company has not confirmed any new flagship launch for the Indian market. Recently, a new Xiaomi phone was spotted on the BIS portal with the model number 24053PY09I. It is possible that this could be a new flagship killer by Xiaomi in India with the new Qualcomm chip.
Redmi Note 13 Turbo
Xiaomi has also confirmed the launch of a new smartphone with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. While the company has not revealed the exact name of the device, it is expected to be the Redmi Note 13 Turbo in China.
According to leaks, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo is tipped to feature a 6.78-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is said to be powered by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The Redmi Note 13 Turbo is expected to launch as the POCO F6 in international markets, but the company hasn’t confirmed this yet.
Moto X50 Ultra / Motorola Edge 50 Pro
Motorola has revealed its first Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 through a Weibo post, which will be the Moto X50 Ultra. The company has also emphasized Moto AI in its teaser, hinting at some special AI features in the phone using the new Qualcomm chip.
The Moto X50 Ultra is expected to launch as the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in India, which was also spotted on a microsite on Flipkart. The listing also confirms that the device will feature a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will feature triple rear cameras, with a 50MP primary shooter and a 13MP ultrawide lens. Other details about the phones have not been disclosed yet. Reports suggest that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro could launch in India on April 3, 2024.
iQOO Z9 Turbo
iQOO has officially confirmed the launch of a new phone under the iQOO Z9 Series with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The device will first launch in China and is expected to launch in global regions as the iQOO Z9 Turbo. However, the India launch of the device could take a while as the company recently launched the iQOO Z9.
According to a tip from Digital Chat Station, the iQOO Z9 Turbo is said to feature a 1.5K resolution OLED screen and a 6,000mAh battery. DCS further added that the model number of the phone could be V2352A.
