Chinese smartphone maker Realme had announced its first wearable device called the Realme Band last month, alongside the Realme 6-series. During the initial stages of the product’s roll-out, there have been a few bugs inside the device’s software. Realme has been pushing out updates regularly to iron them out and add new features. The latest update by the company for the Realme Band is v6.0 update which brings in new weather features, optimizations, a new find my phone feature among other things.
As per the changelog, courtesy of Fonearena, the update includes:-
- Optimized UI for functional interface
- Added weather features
- Added the ability to find your phone
- Optimized heart rate measurement
- Data synchronization speed optimized
- Added bracelet restart function
- Extended message display time
The weather feature will normally display the temperature information in Fahrenheit. It can be changed to Celsius in the Realme’s Link app. To access the weather information you would have to tap on the home button seven times. Also, you can long-press the button to see the highs and lows of the next two days. GPS needs to be turned on for the weather feature to work.
With regards to the band restart function, you will need to press the button on the Realme Band for at least 5 seconds for it to restart. The Find My Phone functionality can be found in the Realme Link app. After enabling it, find the feature on the Realme Band and tap on the band for three seconds to activate it. The feature will only find the phone that is paired with the band. Your connected device will start ringing for three seconds and you can tap on your band for three seconds for the device to stop ringing. Apart from that, the Realme Band has gotten an improved UI and also data synchronization across the phone and Band has been improved.
