Realme confirms that the upcoming smartphone will be launched in a 5240mAh battery variant. The higher capacity battery variant will bring support for 150W fast charging tech. Realme claims the forthcoming smartphone will be one of the fastest-charging smartphones available. The company adds that Realme is the only brand to mass-produce smartphones with 240W fast charging tech despite the increased cost of the technology.

Realme will continue offering 240W fast charging with its upcoming device because most of the Realme GT Neo 5 buyers were opting for the 240W fast charging variant. Realme adds that the device will have an independent SUPERVOOC S chipset. The chipset will improve the battery efficiency of the device. A teaser video shared by the brand reveals the design of the upcoming device.

The upcoming GT 5 smartphone will feature a sizeable rectangular camera cut-out. MySmartPrice had exclusively revealed the renders of the device in collaboration with OnLeaks. The renders shared were initially expected to be of the Realme GT Neo 6 series smartphones. However, OnLeaks later revealed that Realme will launch the device under the GT 5 moniker. The renders confirm that the device will be equipped with triple-rear cameras.

The camera cut-out also houses the LED flash and RGB light strip, similar to the GT Neo 5 smartphone. Realme reveals that the device’s rear panel will be jointly developed with BYD. The past teasers confirm the device will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC—the chipset pairs with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Realme also confirms the presence of an independent X7 display chip, which will enhance the video frame rate of the device. Realme will equip the smartphone with a 144Hz refresh rate panel.
