Redmi Note 12 series is set to launch in India on January 5. The company has confirmed to launch three smartphones in its latest lineup. These include the Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. The Note 12 Pro Plus 5G will sit at the top of the lineup. It will feature a 200MP primary camera sensor. There will also be the Note 12 Pro 5G, which will sit between the Pro+ and standard 5G models.
Xiaomi has been teasing the specifications and features of the Note 12 series. The company has now confirmed another feature of its upcoming Note 12 series devices. Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G will feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera sensor. The company has already confirmed that the Note 12 Pro 5G will also come with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS).

Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi India executives have now started uploading camera samples shot on the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G. The company representatives claim that the Note 12 Pro 5G’s main camera will help capture dynamic and engaging images with the perfect blend of software and hardware tools. The sensor is also claimed to capture more light and better details. Xiaomi also claims that the Note 12 Pro 5G’s sensor will be one of the best in the segment when it comes to colour reproduction.

Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G Specifications
The Note 12 Pro 5G will launch as a successor to the Note 11 Pro 4G. The variant in China features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The screen has flat edges and sports a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. It also offers 900 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the Note 12 Pro 5G offers a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. It comes with a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The device also runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
The rear camera module houses three sensors. The company has already confirmed that the phone will feature a 50MP main camera. It will also feature an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The device will house a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
