Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12 series earlier this year in India. The Note 12 series includes three phones currently in India. There is the Redmi Note 12 5G, which sits at the bottom of the lineup. The Note 12 Pro 5G is the middle child in the series, whereas the Note 12 Pro+ 5G sits at the top of the lineup. Xiaomi launched the Note 12 series in India with many upgrades over the outgoing models. However, this also attracted a higher price tag, resulting in Note 12 Pro+ 5G base model being priced at about Rs 30,000 in India.
Despite the higher price tag, it looks like Xiaomi has managed to get a great response from consumers over the past couple of months. Xiaomi has now revealed that it has sold Note 12 series phones worth over Rs 1,000 crore in India.
Xiaomi India General Manager Alvin Tse took to Twitter to share the news about the Note 12 series milestone.
Xiaomi had previously revealed that the company sold Redmi Note 12 series devices worth Rs 300 crore within a week’s time of its sale in India. This was followed by another milestone, where units worth Rs 500 crore were sold across the country within a couple of weeks since the phones went on sale.
The Redmi Note 12 series is more expensive than ever. However, consumers seem to be willing to spend the extra amount on value-for-money devices that are suitable for their use case.
Redmi Note 12 Series Price in India and Specifications
The Redmi Note 12 5G is the most affordable phone in the lineup. The phone has a starting price of Rs 17,999 for the base 4GB + 128GB storage option. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 19,999.
The Note 12 Pro 5G was launched in three storage options — 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. The devices were priced at Rs 24,999, Rs 26,999 and Rs 27,999, respectively.

The Note 12 Pro Plus 5G is available at a starting price of Rs 29,999 for the base 8GB + 256GB storage option. The 12GB + 256GB storage option is priced at Rs 32,999.
The Note 12 Pro Plus 5G has a 200MP triple-camera setup on the back with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The Note 12 Pro replaces the 200MP with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera with OIS support. The Note 12 5G has a 48MP main camera sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor.
All three phones sport a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. The devices run Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
The Note 12 Pro Plus and Note 12 Pro 5G have a Dimensity 1080 SoC with a 4980mAh battery. The Pro+ 5G model gets a faster 120W fast charging support, whereas the Note 12 Pro supports 67W fast charging for its 5000mAh battery. The standard Note 12 5G has a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC with a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging out of the box.
