Samsung could be introducing a new Galaxy A-series smartphone, the Galaxy A05 soon. This upcoming smartphone from Samsung will be arriving as a successor to the Galaxy A04. The Galaxy A05 already has received a couple of certifications such as FCC, BIS a couple of days back. Additionally, the device was spotted at the Wi-Fi Alliance as well as Bluetooth SIG certification. Now, the smartphone has appeared on the Google Play Console listing ahead of the launch. The Google Play Console listing reveals the front and rear design of the handset as well it confirms a few key specifications.
If we have a look at the image, we can see that the Galaxy A05 will feature a water-drop shape notch at the centre of the display. On the rear side, the smartphone will boast a dual-camera setup accompanied by an LED flash. The power and volume keys will be located on the right edge of the device. As far as the specifications go, the smartphone will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6769V/WY processor, which will be Helio G85. Furthermore, the listing also reveals that the device will pack up to 4GB of RAM.
On the software side of things, the A05 will boot Android 13 out of the box with Samsung’s OneUI skin on top. The listing also confirms that the device will feature an HD+ resolution. Currently, the launch date of the device is yet to be revealed by Samsung. However, considering that the device has received a couple of certifications lately, and it has now been spotted on Google Play Console, we can expect Samsung to announce the handset in the coming few weeks.
As mentioned above, the Galaxy A05 will be succeeding the Galaxy A04 smartphone. To recall, the Galaxy A04 features a 6.5-inch PLS LCD display that has a HD+ resolution. The device has a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a 270 PPI pixel density. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Helio P35 SoC which is aided with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As far as the other key specifications of the device go, it has a 50MP dual-camera setup, a 5MP selfie camera, 4G VoLTE support, and a 5,000mAh battery. The device is priced at Rs 11,999 in India.
